Information:
Wisps are aliens from another world. A power energy called Hyper-Go-Ons fills them and serves as their life force.
This energy can either be forcibly extracted by machines or temporarily absorbed by another when a wisp allows itself to be absorbed by another.

Each type of wisp is a different color and thus has a different type of Hyper-Go-On energy. When Sonic uses this power it transforms him into a different shape.

White wisps are the most common wisp seen. They are very playful and seem very talkative. They don't transform Sonic into anything, instead they give Sonic a speed boost. While in this state of speed boost rings are drawn in to Sonic.
