Information:
Wisps are aliens from another world. A power energy called Hyper-Go-Ons fills them and serves as their life force.
This energy can either be forcibly extracted by machines or temporarily absorbed by another when a wisp allows itself to be absorbed by another.

Each type of wisp is a different color and thus has a different type of Hyper-Go-On energy. When Sonic uses this power it transforms him into a different shape.

Red Wisps are fiery wisps with three eyes and a lively personality. These DS exclusive wisps transform Sonic into a living fireball which can perform infinite mid-air jumps. He is also invincible while in this state.
